Some factors you should know about bonded trailer wire
There are two different types of 7-way connectors, one with flat pins (blades) and the other with round pins. Round pin connectors are very rare, while flat pins are common and are often found on new factory built SUVs and trucks with trailer hitches. Wiring code: white = ground.

Trailer wiring has 5 wires white, yellow, green, yellow/brown and green/brown on a 4-way flat trailer harness, white is ground, brown is running lights, yellow is left turn signal and green is right turn signal. The brown wire connects to the taillight or stop light. Green wire for right turn signal/brake light. Yellow wire to left turn signal/brake light. White wire to common or chassis ground.
